What is “The Worst”?

UPDATE PART 2 (May 2010):

It’s a new year and I’m at a new point of my life.  I’ve decided to turn this blog into something more.  It won’t be just pop culture goodness anymore…I’ve decided to actually write about, you guessed it, me!  I was going to change URL’s, but I love The Worst so much that I just can’t leave…even if it’s been a year or so since I’ve touched it.

ORIGINAL (December 2008):

The Worst is a blog directly from the brains of Chelsea Russell and Michael Reed, two students currently attending the University of Iowa.  A dinner conversation during which Mike expressed a need to do something “epic” and the fact that Chelsea has a habit of saying almost everything is “the worst” are the seeds from which this quick-witted commentary on everyday life and pop culture were sown.

The Worst is roughly modeled after such blogs/websites as BestWeekEver, Videogum, and BuzzFeed (to name a few) in addition to just being a normal complaint-ridden blog.

As the blog is developed we will be adding different features.  So far, as you may have guessed, our main and currently only feature is “The Worst,” which will include things like this.**

We’re hilarious and rude.  In fact, we’re the worst.  And you love us.

UPDATE (May 2009):

Sadly, Michael will no longer be writing for The Worst, probably because he’s too busy being the worst (just kidding, Michael!).  I just kind of seem to have…taken over.  I still hope to have guest writers every once in awhile, but for the most part…you’re stuck with me.  Get over it.
